WHY SERVICING YOUR RV IS IMPORTANT
If you are new to the caravanning and campervan life, you’re probably a little unaware of the things that need servicing on your RV. Much like a car, your towable or driveable needs servicing to make sure they are able to handle everything you throw at them on your adventures. However, unlike a car, your caravans and campervans get serviced based on time rather than kilometres travelled.
Why you should service your RV

Upkeep for the longevity of your RV
There are many reasons why you should service your beloved travel companion. Safety and a better drive/tow experience are among the multitude of reasons. Servicing is normally completed within 6 months after delivery and then at 12 months after delivery for new. Annually after that. If you travel more than 20,000 kilometres or more per year then you require a service at 6-month intervals to provide the correct preventative maintenance required. This is to help maintain the caravan/campervan over extended periods of time. Doing this will also save you money on expensive repair tasks and help extend the life of your travel vehicle.
Continual usage of your RV
Annual maintenance is the most common and best practice for protecting your RV. If you’re on the road full-time, servicing more regularly is advised due to greater distance travelled and more wear on the components of your caravan/motorhome. Even if your family van has been inactive it still needs upkeep and maintenance to make sure your next adventure is stress-free.
Stay healthy on the road
Maintenance is unquestionably a vital part of ownership. This means doing your annual maintenance is best suited for the off-season of travelling so it is prepared for those extended weekends and holidays away with the family. It is mind-blowing just how many RV and caravan owners forget to schedule regular maintenance.
