A part of what makes Cleaverville so amazing for all enthusiasts is it’s pet-friendly areas and accessibility to all. From 2WD to rock crawlers, you’ll see everything on these beaches. However, if you wish to camp, you will soon realise the best spots are limited by the capabilities of your vehicle.

Frenchmans Track, QLD
Not for the faint heart, Frenchman’s track is known for its “team-building exercises”. Located just outside Cape York, Frenchman’s track hosts some of the best off-roading in North Queensland. With 2 water crossings and tight turns, it is a struggle with a car itself let alone a caravan. However, with the right vehicle, determination and creative thinking, this daunting track has the opportunity to create the best memories.

Kununurra, WA
From waterfalls to water crossings, Kununurra is an oasis from the world. Located 8.5 hours from Darwin, Kununurra is home to multiple heritage-listed sites along with amazing hikes, swimming holes, and of course the Ivanhoe water crossing. If you’re looking for a place that has it all, look no further, Kununurra has been rated a must by many 4×4 and RV enthusiasts. If you’re stopping by and feeling adventurous the Ivanhoe Crossing is one of a kind, allowing for great photos. However, like most water, drivers must watch for strong currents.

Moreton Island, QLD
Located in Brisbane’s backyard, Moreton Island is home to the world’s third-largest sand island, it’s a 4×4 paradise! Tracks aren’t too difficult so waking up in paradise a couple steps away from the beach is an achievable adventure. With clear skies, white dunes, and crystal clear water, Moreton Island is a definite visit for any 4×4 camping enthusiast.
